Edward S.K. Bottomley Inducted into
ASID College of Fellows
CAMA Principal of 30 years, Edward S.K. Bottomley, FASID was inducted into The American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID) College of Fellows at this year’s National Convention on July 18th in Boston. Ed is one of five ASID members honored this year for their significant contribution to the interior design profession and society at a national level. Ed joins partner Rosalyn Cama, FASID and 267 colleagues previously elevated. Fellowship is the Society’s highest honor and is bestowed on less than 1% of its membership.
Rosalyn Recieves Russ Coile Lifetime Achievement Award
CAMA President and Founder, Rosalyn Cama recieved the 2015 Russ Coile Lifetime Achievement Award at the Healthcare Design Conference in Washington, D.C. Established in 2007 by the Center for Health Design, this award recognizes individuals who have dedicated their careers to the advancement of the healthcare design field.
CAMA Bed Chair Wins the 2015 Interior Design Magazine "Best of Year" Award
At CAMA, we believe that the thoughtful design of furniture can harness the healing power of touch and promote physical contact between patients, loved ones, and caregivers. We are happy to see our work supported, as the CAMA Bed Chair received the 2015 Interior Design Magazine's coveted BOY (Best of Year) Award in the category of Healthcare Furniture.
In 2015, after searching to no avail for a chair that would answer the constant, continuous pleas by mothers to get in bed with their hospitalized child, Rosalyn designed the CAMA Bed Chair with IOA Healthcare Furniture.
The CAMA Bed Chair raises to a 22" seat height to match the patient bedside, allowing family members to comfort their hospitalized loved ones without sacrificing their own comfort. Harnessing the healing power of touch, the chair enables more intimate interactions at the bedside without creating obstacles for staff and sacrificing the safety of the patient.
